Laura Carson
Laura Carson is an actress, filmmaker and photographer with over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She earned her B.A. in Theatre & Speech at the College of William & Mary. After graduation, she trained as an acting apprentice at Actors Theatre of Louisville before moving to NYC where she completed the two year Gately/Poole Meisner Acting Program. While in New York, she performed in several plays and had two of her short plays, “Picking Up the Pieces” and “Suicide Phone,” produced. She moved to Los Angeles to build her film and TV resume and her credits include Interrogation, LA to Vegas, American Crime, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Drop Dead Diva, Grey’s Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, Bruce Almighty, and several national commercials. Her solo show about the death of her father, Booze, Balls and Bluegrass, premiered in the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival. She has taught theatre and filmmaking for 15 years at Idyllwild Arts Academy in Idyllwild, CA and in Denver, she is the Chief Creative Officer of Firefly Rev Studios and Working Artist Group where she also runs the On-Camera Acting Department. Screen-writing credits include the award-winning short film, Dime Short, the 10-episode webseries, UnCorked, and several features co-written with Krista Gano that are in various stages of development.
