Joelle Montoya

Joelle Montoya is an actor, singer, and teaching artist who is thrilled to be sharing her talents with the theatre makers and storytellers of this beautiful city where she was born and raised. She has worked part-time with the DCPA as a Teaching Artist for nearly 10 years whilst being a multi-coastal talent in London, New York, and Los Angeles. Some of her favorite credits include Sunspot (NYC), Winter’s Tale (UK), and Interview with a Mexican (LA). Joelle has received her BA in Acting from University of Northern Colorado and her MFA in Acting from E15 through the University of Essex, London.

Throughout her career, Joelle has taught individuals of all ages. She prides herself in being able to adapt to any age group, striving to provide an enriched experience for her students by meeting them where they are at and challenging them to take their artistry to the next level. At her core, Joelle is committed to sharing the power of curiosity and the element of play to actors while also equipping them with the skills needed to perform safely. She looks forward to sharing her wide range of experience to anyone who is looking to take their artistry to the next level or just looking to start somewhere!
