The Denver Center Theatre Company, a division of The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is accepting applications for temporary positions in the areas listed below on an ongoing basis. Please note that temporary positions are only available during our season, which runs July through May. Resumes are reviewed as positions become available and are added to our call list for contact as needed. An interview process is typically not required/offered. Demand for these positions varies from production to production and from season to season. Positions vary in terms of both required experience and length of commitment, and are paid on an hourly basis.
  • Running Crew: follow-spot operator, stagehand, child supervisor
  • Wardrobe: Dressers, Wigs & Makeup
  • Costumes: stitcher
  • Electrics: rigging; hang, maintenance, and focus calls
  • Scenery: construction, painting, rigging; load-in and strike calls
  • Properties: sculpting, furniture construction and reupholster, painting, and stitching
  • Sound: load-in, rigging, board operation, backline/A2
  • Multimedia: Assistant/Operator
While general Skills and Responsibilities vary by position, they may include:
  • Ability to read & interpret blueprints
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Framing & Finish Carpentry
  • Rigging skills
  • Basic electricity and stage lighting skills
  • Repair of lighting fixtures
  • Computer skill related to lighting systems & controllers
  • Strong sewing skills with understanding of garment construction
  • Installation and programming of projection equipment
  • Physical ability to lift and hold 25 pounds
